In the AWE-Lab, at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET), we explore the wireless networks world, designing and experimenting novel solutions to advance wireless connectivity and improve the experience of mobile users. Thanks to a two-decade experience, we research a wide range of aspects and systems, from connected cars to IoT, from cellular to Wi-Fi networks. In our research, we explore innovative technologies such as 6G, O-RAN, the application of AI/ML to mobile networks, encompassing a wide range of use cases, from connected vehicles and drones to Industry 4.0. We also address issues related to mobile services and applications, with diverse characteristics and quality of service requirements. Our national and international collaborations include companies in the telecommunication and automotive industries as well as research centres and other universities.
